Peerless Road Church is a Ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy

In 1923, the Church of God, later renamed Church of God of Prophecy, built a large building on Central Avenue to host its annual church-wide meeting. A local church was established in the basement of that property in a small auditorium. This small group would one day become the Peerless Road Church congregation. In 1947, the church built a new building on Wildwood Avenue and became a leading church in the Church of God of Prophecy. In 1973, plans began for a church on Peerless Road where the first service was held in 1974. Today, Peerless Road Church has a rich legacy of ministry in Cleveland, TN and around the world.

Our Team

  • Adam jones

    Lead pastor

    Adam and Jill Jones serve as Lead Pastors of the Peerless Road Church. Since the age of 17 Adam has ministered in youth camps, conferences, conventions, and numerous local churches. Adam and Jill were married in December of 2001, and moved into full-time ministry in August of 2002. In May of 2007 they welcomed their first child, Brooke Elizabeth. They served the St. Mary's COGOP until February 2008, then moved to Lizella, GA to serve as State Youth Directors for the Church of God of Prophecy. In March 2011 they welcomed their second daughter, Braylin Grace. In August of 2012 Adam and Jill left Georgia to come on staff at Peerless Road Church as Youth/Associate Pastors. Adam completed his bachelor's degree at Lee University in May 2014, and in November of 2016 Adam was appointed as Lead Pastor of Peerless Road Church.


    Adam and Jill serve PRC together in a genuine relationship with people of all ages, and their relational approach to ministry brings stability and depth to all ministries of the Peerless Road Church. You can contact Pastor Adam at ajones@peerlessroadchurch.com.

  • bryan wilson

    worship pastor

    Bryan Wilson came to PRC in November of 2010. He leads congregational worship on Sundays and directs the worship band, choir, praise team, and technical ministries of the church. He and his wife Codie have been married since 2004 and they have a daughter named Dakota. Codie has a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and serves as Director of Rehab at Bradley Healthcare and Rehabilitation on Peerless Road.


    Bryan has been leading worship since the age of 12 in youth ministries, college ministries, and adult ministries. He earned a Bachelor of the Arts in Music from Lee University in 2004. While at Lee he was a member of the Lee Symphonic Band, and Campus Choir, which travel and minister in churches around the country and around the world. After graduating from Lee, he served five years as a part-time worship leader and full-time youth pastor at his home church in Mississippi before returning to Lee University in 2009. There he completed a Master of Church Music degree in 2010.


    Bryan has a vision for unity in worship and seeks to bring together people of all ages. The worship ministry at PRC includes a volunteer team of over 70 people, from teenagers to seniors, with a band, orchestra, praise team, and choir.   • cathy baggerly

    children's pastor

    Pastor Cathy came to serve as children’s pastor at PRC in December 2005. She had previously served as the children’s pastor at the Altavista Church of God Prophecy in

    Altavista, Virginia since 1999.


    Cathy has been working with children for more than twenty years and is passionate about seeing them love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength as well as loving and serving others. Her formal training is in early childhood and elementary education. She serves as a member of the International Children’s Ministry Team for the Church of God of Prophecy and is also an active member of the Cleveland Children’s Ministry Network.


    Cathy and her husband Lee were married in February of 1987. Lee is a history teacher at Ocoee Middle School. They have three beautiful children: Malorie, Logan, and Emma.

  • Jorge & grace collazo

    Hispanic ministries pastors

    During a youth revival in 1986, Pastor Collazo received the calling into ministry. Two years later, he was appointed to pastor the Church of God of Prophecy in Camden, NJ. He pastored there for eight years, then felt impressed by the Holy Spirit to return to his hometown of Utuado, Puerto Rico to plant a church. Once the church was organized, he pastored there for fifteen years.


    In June of 2009, Pastor Collazo was appointed to the Front Street Community Church (COGOP) in Philadelphia, PA. He remained there until June, 2015. He then moved to Cleveland, TN to be near his daughter, Damaris Feliz and family. Brother Collazo has been in ministry for thirty years, and has been married to his beautiful wife, Grace, for 52 years. He has four adult children, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. His greatest joy is serving people.

  • Joseph & Evelyn bathe

    Connect Groups ministries Pastors

    Joseph and Evelyn Bathe bring a rich ministry experience to lead the PRC Connect Group Ministry. Dr. Bathe holds a Doctor of Ministries Degree in Pastoral Studies from Covington Theological Seminary. He and his wife Evelyn have served in ministry for 50 years, which includes pastorates in NC, FL, TN, KY, LA, and OH. In addition, they have served as national evangelists, ministering in 30 states. Dr. Bathe has served as a Bible college instructor, in various youth ministry positions which included directing youth camps, and in media-related ministries. He has experience in business and served as a church executive business administrator. He has been a keynote speaker for seminars, conferences, and men’s retreats. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.


    His wife, Evelyn, is also a gifted teacher whose ministry has encompassed youth, music, and women’s ministries. She holds an Associate Degree in Christian Education from Covington Theological Seminary. In addition, she has approximately 20 years’ experience in legal, corporate, and church positions as administrative/executive assistant.


    Joseph and Evelyn Bathe have one son, Jonathan, who is married and living in Lynchburg, VA. They are the proud grandparents of Brooklyn and Jackson.

  • david taylor

    chaplains ministry pastor

    Having a pastoral heart to touch people in every aspect of their lives, especially during their times of illness, hospitalization, rehabilitation, or nursing home stays, David leads our team of Chaplains to cover the needs of our congregation as duty calls. 


    In 1975, David married his wife, Annette, and they served eleven years as pastors in Georgia before moving to Cleveland, TN. Since arriving at PRC in 1987, they have served in various positions, including five years as children's pastors, and twenty-plus years as small-group pastors. David also served PRC for ten years on the Finance and Administration committee during the planning stages and construction of PRC's educational wing and gymnasium.


    David and Annette have two married sons and eight grandchildren.

  • valerie willis

    hostess

    As church hostess, Valerie is responsible for the purchasing of food and supplies for the church and special functions. She is also responsible for the decorations for special occasions and events.  


    Valerie moved to Cleveland in 1980 with her husband, John McClure, and three sons. She was a minister/pastor's wife for 20 years before her husband's passing. She worked at the International Offices of the Church of God of Prophecy for 12 years.

What We Believe

Since the beliefs of the Peerless Road Church are based on biblical principles, we realize that we are on a spiritual journey striving to “walk in the light” when it comes to our understanding of timeless truth. We base our beliefs on “the whole Bible rightly divided.” We accept the Bible as God’s Holy Word, inspired, inerrant, and infallible. We believe the Bible to be God’s written revelation of Himself to mankind and our guide in all matters of faith; therefore, we look to the Bible as our highest authority for doctrine, practice, organization, and discipline. We are firm in our commitment to orthodox Christian belief. We affirm that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles He performed, His atoning death upon the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory at His second coming.


We profess that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the salvation of sinful mankind. We believe the sinner is brought to an awareness of the need for salvation through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that in the work of sanctification by the blood of Christ, one is made holy. We affirm the present, active ministry of the Holy Spirit who guides the Church and by whose indwelling and empowerment we are able to live godly lives and render effective service to God and others. We believe in the oneness and ultimate unity of believers for which our Lord prayed, and that this should be visibly displayed “that the world may know, see, and believe” God’s glory, the coming of His Son, and the great love He has for His people (John 17:20–23).


We are committed to the sanctity of the marriage bond and the importance of strong, loving Christian families. The Church embraces all biblical doctrines as taught in the New Testament and have listed some that may be helpful to believers seeking to mature in Christ Jesus.
